Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Welcome to the official website for the Xi Omicron chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at the University of Arkansas. My name is Lauren Shepard and I am a chemical engineering and physics major from Little Rock, AR and I have the honor of serving as Chapter President of this amazing chapter for the 2021 calendar year.

Alpha Omicron Pi and the strong women that make up this organization have been one of the biggest support systems throughout my college career since I ran home on Bid Day. Our women are so uplifting, driven, and intentionally compassionate and I am so happy to lead our chapter throughout the next year. At the heart of our chapter is love, which we strive to show both in sisterhood and philanthropy, where we focus on mental health awareness and Juvenile Arthritis Research. The phrase “You are so loved” lies at the center of our chapter and there is not a day that goes by that I am not reminded of that by the actions and words of our members. Our chapter is truly special and I am excited that we get to share that with you.

I hope you enjoy exploring our website and learning about our chapter here at the University of Arkansas!
